Rasterdeck Translator — Data Safety

This page mirrors, in plain language, the Data Safety declaration we file for Rasterdeck Translator on Google Play. Google's definition matters here: "collected" means transferred off your device. Everything the App processes on-device only — your audio, your camera images, the text you type, the translations it produces — is not collected, by us or anyone else. The two things that do leave your device

1. A device identifier (one-way hash)

To offer one free trial per device, the App sends a one-way hashed value derived from your Android device ID to our service. It is used only to recognize whether a device has already claimed its trial, and for fraud prevention.

• Linked to your identity: No — it is a one-way hash; we have no account or name to link it to

• Purpose: app functionality (trial enforcement), fraud prevention, security

2. Purchase history

If you buy an upgrade, our service records the purchase verification (a Google Play purchase token, or a redemption code you enter) so your unlock keeps working.

• Payment details: never collected — Google Play Billing (or our website's payment processor) handles payment; we never see your card

• Shared with third parties: No

• Purpose: app functionality (keeping your features unlocked), fraud prevention, support

Everything declared as NOT collected

• Audio — microphone audio is transcribed on-device and never transmitted.

• Photos and videos — camera images and imported photos for scan-to-translate are analyzed on-device and never transmitted.

• Files and documents — anything you import for OCR stays on your device.

• Personal info — no name, email, address, phone number, or user IDs; the App has no account or sign-in at all.

• Location — none, approximate or precise.

• App activity — no interaction tracking, no search history, no list of your installed apps.

• Crash logs and diagnostics — kept local on your device only; nothing is uploaded automatically.

• Messages, contacts, calendar, health, or browsing data — none.

• Advertising ID — not used. The App has no ads and no cross-app tracking.

Security and deletion

• All data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS); the translation models we deliver are additionally encrypted themselves.

• You can request deletion of the limited data associated with your device or purchases by emailing privacy@rasterdeck.com. There is no account to delete because there is no account.

Why you can believe this

The App makes its money from one-time unlocks, not from your data. There is no ad SDK, no analytics SDK, and no account system in the shipped app — claims you can verify with any network monitor: after your models download and your code activates, the App makes no network calls at all.
